Cats are weird.

So, I head into the bathroom to wash my hands. The bathmat is in the doorway. This by itself isn't too odd, Noodles likes to use it as a launching pad. So I start to push it back towards the shower and it grows a paw and grabs me! I don't know, I don't want to know. Apparently it confused Bob too. He sat and stared at her for about 10 minutes. She is a very odd little girl. On the plus side, they are getting along much better. Less hissing, more playing. I think it is going to be fine. Here are some random pics, since I haven't updated in a while.

Kittens kittens kittens kittens

UPDATE: 2 more pics! I put them up top. Also two more nursing pics.

Yes! Kittens! These are Noodles' kittens. My sister-in-law took these while she and my brother were fostering them. Their names are Michail and Petrov (which is what happens when shelters name cats. It's not their fault, they get so many they run out of names. Please adopt a cat). I don't know which is which, but the dark one was my favorite. I almost stole him, he was so sweet and mellow. I have requested more pictures, because... KITTENS!!!1!!

Was that... play?

Why yes it was! It's the first friendly contact between Bob and Noodles. Noodles was under a chair and Bob jumped up on top of it. She got all pissed off. Then Bob reached down and just bopped her on the head. About five minutes of tail grabbing and boxing ensued. No claws, no hissing, ears forward. Of course, it couldn't last. When Bob went to walk past her through the kitchen entrance she hissed... but it's a good start!

Catnip!

Heh. Always entertaining. I went to a farmers market today and there were some homemade catnip pillow thingies so I got one for each of the babies. They certainly enjoyed them.Kaje made Noodles go all circus cat. Bob just rubbed it against his head.Noodles of course, went completely nuts and maimed hers. Bob rolled around and insisted on receiving love. As though he never gets it.Then, of course, the inevitable crash.

Meet Noodles

We just recently adopted Noodles, we have only had her for two and a half weeks. She is an adorable little pain in the butt. Unlike Bob she jumps up on counters, the fridge, pretty much anything she can get to. She is still settling in, she isn't sure how she feels about Bob, but she loves us. Not that it is us specificly, it's people in general. She is a little tramp. We keep her seperated from Bob right now when we aren't around, to reduce conflict, and whenever we open the door to the living room she jumps up and runs over to us purring like a kitten and demanding love. Sometimes she and Bob get along ok.. Right after this picture was taken Bob reached out ever so slowly and gently and put his paw on top of hers. And she freaked out. Not surprising. But often they will just sit near each other, pretending the other doesn't exist. Which is fine. We like that much more than hissing and swatting. Which is of course all her, Bob just looks confused. She likes to rest her head on things, get under the bed and sit in boxes. So, that's all there is about the little girlie right now. Further updates as events warrant.
